Foods Recommended in Hadiths and Their Place in Holistic Nutrition

Hadislerde Önerilen Yiyecekler ve Holistik Beslenmedeki Yeri

Today, people don't know what to eat.

There is so much information…
But no balance.

Something is forbidden, then it is recommended again.
What is called healthy one day becomes harmful the next.

But there is some information that…
Does not change, even as time changes.

Why are foods recommended in the Hadiths?

Our Prophet Muhammad did not just teach acts of worship.

He also showed us how we should live.

Eating was also a part of this.

But what is important here is this:

It wasn't just what he ate, but how he ate that was important.

Some prominent foods

Some foods frequently mentioned in the Hadiths:

  • Dates
  • Honey
  • Olive oil
  • Vinegar
  • Barley
  • Black seed

These are not foods chosen by coincidence.

They are all simple, balanced foods close to nature.

Dates: Balance and strength

Dates are one of the foods our Prophet consumed the most.

This shows us that:

  • They provide energy
  • They support digestion
  • They do not strain the body

From a holistic perspective:

Dates are a fast yet clean source of energy.

Honey: Natural healing

Honey is mentioned in both the Quran and the Hadiths.

This is very important.

Because it shows that it is not just a food…
but a source of healing.

But the critical point here is:

Real honey.

Olive oil: Nourishment from inside out

There is such an approach to olive oil:

“Don't just eat it, use it.”

Meaning:

  • It nourishes from within
  • It supports from the outside

This is the very essence of a holistic approach.

Vinegar: Balancing effect

Vinegar is a very simple food.

But its effect is significant.

  • It supports digestion
  • It balances the body
  • It reduces heaviness

A very valuable food forgotten in the modern world.

Black seed: Little but effective

There is such a saying about black seed in the Hadiths:

“It is a cure for every disease except death.”

This expression is very deep.

Because it conveys this:

When used correctly, small things create big effects.

The real issue: Simplicity

The nutritional approach in the Hadiths is very clear:

  • Less
  • Simple
  • Natural
  • Balanced

Today, it is the exact opposite:

  • Excess
  • Complex
  • Processed
  • Unbalanced

And the result:
A tired body.

My approach

I do not teach my clients this:

“Eat this, don't eat that.”

I show them this:

When do you feel good eating?

I evaluate the approach in the Hadiths,
along with your temperament.

Because not everyone is the same.

Conclusion

The foods recommended in the Hadiths remind us of this:

Healing is not far away.
It is in simplicity.

And perhaps the most important thing in nutrition is this:

Not eating more…
Eating more correctly.
